It appears that a group of individuals (who don’t seem to like due process very much) decided to take matters into their own hands during the investigation of the Trayvon Martin shooting. Stemming from Mobile, Alabama, there was a recent mob attack on an individual (Matthew Owens) in retaliation they say for Zimmerman’s release on bond. A brief overview from WKRG explains:
Mobile police need your help to catch a mob that beat Matthew Owens so badly that he’s in critical condition.
According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.
Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.
Owens’ sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. “It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed.” Parker says 20 people, all African American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using “brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on.”
I wonder when the all knowing Al Sharpton is going to come running to this man’s defense. Because God forbid something happen to another human being based solely on color of one’s skin right? This has happened on more than one occasion where Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are no where to be found in the heat of something awful like this happening because some moron(s) is upset.
Update: Here’s is a video of some being arrested. Luckily, police say it didn’t have anything to do with the Trayvon Martin case.
