State Inspectors Sneer at and Discard Homemade Lunch

Ugh, what the hell is going on here? I have no clue, but there seems to have been something very large and forcibly inserted into the rears of the retentive state inspectors. Apparently, in Hoke County, North Carolina a government food inspector deemed the homemade lunch of an unidentified pre-schooler to be “lacking nurtriotional value.” At which point the little girl who is probably a little frightened from being questioned by such an authority figure for bringing a lunch which consisted of a turkey and cheese sandwich, a banana, apple juice and potato chips. She was required to supplement the bag lunch for the missing vegetable by ordering a whole new lunch of which she didn’t eat since she was reportedly so scared of the inspector to a point that she only ate a few chicken nuggets on her tray.

Jesus Christ on ice skates why on Earth is it such a priority of the government to get their grubby little fingers into every corner of our lives? Aren’t they enough already? Anyways, here’s a bit of what the mother had to say:

“So I went to the cafeteria to make sure she had no fee and it’s not being charged to her account yet,” she continued, ” but what concerned me was that I got a letter from the principal and it says students who do not bring a healthy lunch will be offered the missing portions which may result in a fee from the cafeteria. So if I don’t stay on top of her account on a weekly basis there’s that opportunity that charges could be put on her account and then if I let it go too far then it’s like I’m going to have a big battle.”

The grandmother of the child obviously upset had a fitting question and asked:

“This isn’t China, is it?”

Sometimes it feels that way, but I like to think she’s over-reacting a bit. Did we ever hear stories like this when Bush Jr. was in office? I honestly can’t recall someone under his administration doing something like this, but I don’t know. Even though this is a state inspector apart of the N.C Division of Early Childhood Development, this official is part of a whole nationwide practice that is using federal guidelines of the USDA which of course falls under Obama’s wing. So I ask Obama…what the f—?

They already regulate what we eat, how we medicate our selves, how we educate our kids-where we can educate them, how we are supposed to drive, how we visit our loved ones and so much more. Isn’t it enough already? Apparently not.

Though bottom-line, I just really hope those amazingly healthy & far superior chicken nuggets and vegetables were free range and organic. I’m sure they were…why even ask?
