Yeeee haw!! Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition! Blago’s brother is leavin on a jet plane…he don’t know if he’ll be back again. To DC that is.
I apologize upfront for acting all sorts of zany this fine morning…feelin’ a little loopy from not sleeping yesterday or today. Been trying to reset my effing sleep schedule that got all screwed up from the last few years being in college. So bear with me if you can fellow readers.
Now, back to reality boys and girls. News from the wily ones over at the Sun Times (why does that ring bells of a 70′s funk band?) reported today that Robert Blagojevich (Rod’s brother to the late person- I’m looking at you al “inventor of all things internet” gore) is makin’ his way over to the the black hole that is Washington D.C. Namely, to be interviewed concerning none other than Jesse Jackson Jr (D- Ill). by the U.S. House committee on Ethics. (Gee, that’s an oxymoron isn’t it?) Doesn’t he just remind you of that one shining star on a hill whom we all love so dearly. Let’s hope he doesn’t start partaking in the reverend shenanigans of his degenerate father who adds fuel to every fire he touches. Sh– I may have spoken too soon.
A fun little tid-bit of info about Mr. Man is that Jr. himself is currently being investigated by the aforementioned house committee. Perfect. Another Charlie Rangel:
The panel is taking up Rob Blagojevich on the offer he made last year to provide details about being approached with a pay-to-play scheme for Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat.
Rob Blagojevich — a former military man whose life was upended after being charged along with his brother — has said he has more to tell Congress about Jesse Jackson Jr.’s alleged involvement in the Senate seat sale. Some of the information about the case has not been made public, he has said.
The rabbit hole gets deeper:
“I believe I have information I think will help them find the truth” on Jackson, Rob Blagojevich told the Sun-Times last fall after personally writing to 10 members of Congress on the ethics committee investigating Jackson.
“Based on what I know, I believe Jesse Jackson Jr. has a lot of unanswered questions that he needs to answer,” Robert Blagojevich said at the time.
Jackson’s attorney surpisingly doesn’t concur with the rod wannabe (at least with his hair for that matter). In fact, he flat out denies even knowing the guy:
The “congressman doesn’t know Robert Blagojevich. Has never met with Robert Blagojevich. Has never had a conversation with Robert Blagojevich and has never sent any emissaries to meet or have conversations with Robert Blagojevich,” Jackson’s attorney, Paul Langer said Thursday. The “congressman continues to fully cooperate with the House subcommittee. He has not been asked to provide any additional information or documentation to the committee. His response is posted on that entity’s Web site.”
Hmm, the inspector gadget in me smells something mighty bad and it’s not just Nancy Pelosi’s perfume. Oh I dunno, if history repeats itself does this ever apply to our unrepresenting representatives? Our survey says…Yes!! Ding-Ding-Ding-Ding-Ding.
